Rebates over $2,500 require pre-approval by EWEB before installation. Prior to granting approval, we must receive your rebate application. For more information, please email us at ems.answers@eweb.org or call 541-685-7088.
Take advantage of our process and manufacturing program to help your business save energy while improving quality, control, and operational efficiency.
For rebates over $2,500, a completed application with required documentation must be approved before equipment is purchased. Loans are available with an interest rate of 4%.
1. Contact a contractor to determine energy-saving potential of an upgrade.
2. Apply now. You can print a paper application here. For low-interest loans from EWEB, complete and submit a loan application. An EWEB project manager will be assigned to assist you with your project.
3. Receive pre-approval for your project. This reserves funding for the proposed project and is required for rebates over $2,500.
4. For incentives that are based on a calculator tool, submit a completed system calculator or proposal with the information needed in each calculator. Having difficulty? We can help!
5. Install the equipment and dispose of waste properly, as required by law.
6. Send us a copy of your invoices including technology-specific documents (see below).
EWEB may request a pre or post inspection of the project to verify it is in compliance with program requirements. Within four to six weeks from the date EWEB approves the installation, the rebate check and/or loan check will be sent directly to the customer at the mailing address listed on the rebate application. Rebate(s) cannot exceed project cost.
Our rebates and loans support the following technologies:
Save energy by replacing a fixed speed air compressor system, with a variable speed system to better match compressor performance with compressed air system requirements.
The Small Compressed Air Systems Calculator estimates energy savings based on user entered inputs of information about your existing and proposed compressed air systems.

AIR-100 | Small Compressed Air Systems | Lesser of $0.25 per calculated kWh or 70% of project cost |
Indoor equipment such as battery-operated fork trucks and lifting equipment use inefficient transformer-based (ferroresonant or silicon-controlled rectifier) battery chargers. Save energy by replacing them with a new, high-frequency, inverter-based battery charger that requires far less standby power and improves the AC to DC conversion efficiency.
The Battery Charger Calculator estimates energy savings based on user entered inputs of energy per charge and charges per year for the baseline and retrofit cases.

HFBATT-100 | High Frequency Battery Charger | Lesser of $0.25 per calculated kWh or 70% of project cost |
Saves energy by replacing a transformer-based welder used for manufacturing and repair operations with an inverter-based welder. The majority of the savings comes from a reduction in standby power.
The Welder Upgrade Calculator estimates energy savings based on user entered inputs of operational data and specific equipment including standby power and the power used during the welding process.

Saves energy by replacing thermosiphon oil heaters, which are electric-resistance heaters without a pump, with forced-circulation heaters, which are electric-resistance heaters with a pump.
Forced-circulation heaters provide better overall block temperature control and reduced extreme temperature swings, possibly extending hose lifetimes, reducing maintenance costs and improving generator reliability.
