The Eugene Water & Electric Board is committed to helping you reduce energy waste and lower your bill. EWEB's energy experts are here to provide helpful answers to your energy efficiency questions.

Setting energy conservation goals

Each year, EWEB sets a target for how much conservation we want our customers to achieve. We then set our annual spending on energy conservation, based on these targets, which aim to offset all of our community's increased demand for electricity.

In March, EWEB customers had already reached the targeted amount of conservation for the entire year, either through efficiency measures already achieved or through customers who've been pre-approved for such measures in 2013. As a result, EWEB has temporarily suspended its zero-interest loans and rebates.

EWEB remains committed to conservation

We are still taking applications from customers who might be interested in getting a loan or rebate once these programs are re-started, either later this year or in early 2014. EWEB is not ending its conservation programs. Rather, we are temporarily halting our financial incentives. We are committed to continuing our conservation efforts, just as we have for more than 30 years. In the next several months, we will reassess all of our programs and incentives. Some of the programs or incentives may look different in the future, and we may have new programs to replace existing programs. Email us or call 541-685-7000 for an application.
