We believe in Greenpower, a voluntary program that allows you to support clean, sustainable energy and encourage renewable energy projects in our local community.
By supporting Greenpower, you will:
Our Greenpower program provides an easy and affordable way for you to help the environment. Each month, your support of EWEB Greenpower will be listed on your electricity bill as a separate item.
Whether you are a residential or business customer, you have several options for supporting Greenpower:
We place these Greenpower funds in a reserve account that supports research, education and projects that advance renewable energy. Those projects include incentives for our customers who install local solar energy projects.
Since 2007, thousands of our customers have voluntarily chosen to support clean renewable energy and the environment through participation in the Greenpower program. We reinvest Greenpower funds in the local community through our Greenpower Grant program.
This grant program funds high-impact projects and programs that drive advancements in renewable energy for local customers, with emphasis on EWEB products, resources and priorities. If we receive five or more applications, our registered Greenpower customers vote to determine which nonprofit organizations' high-impact projects will receive grants worth up to $50,000 each.
Grants are open to:

Our Greenpower business partners voluntarily support clean, sustainable energy and encourage renewable energy projects in the local community.
We know many community members share this commitment to protect the environment. If "green" business practices are an important factor in your buying decisions, consider choosing one of our Greenpower businesses next time you're shopping.
A renewable energy certificate (REC) represents the environmental attributes or benefits of renewable generation such as wind, solar and geothermal power.
On behalf of Greenpower customers, we retire the corresponding quantity of RECs associated with Greenpower megawatt-hour "sales" on an annual basis through the Western Renewable Energy Generation Information System (WREGIS).
Our solar electric program allows you to produce clean, renewable power at your home while also helping us decrease the amount of power we purchase from non-renewable sources.
If you're interested in reducing your carbon footprint with an electric vehicle, we can help with incentives, information and expertise.
