EWEB awarded McKinstry a contract to study EWEB steam customers' facilities to assess the requirements and costs to transition to alternative fuels. McKinstry, a Northwest design and engineering firm specializing in building energy services, generated final reports for each customer that included the following:

• Project description
• Existing energy use
• Engineering assessment of two options for the steam system replacement
• Least cost and alternate approach
• Financial analysis
• Additional system energy saving projects
• State of Oregon Small Scale Energy Loan (SELP) program application
• State of Oregon Business Energy Tax Credit (BETC) application

All customer engineering reports have been delivered to EWEB steam customers. Any interested parties can download, print and complete a public records request form to get copies of the reports. Completed requests can be submitted in one of the following four ways:

• Scan request form and email it to steam.transition@eweb.org as an attachment
• Fax request to (541) 685-7328
• Mail request to EWEB, Attn: Steam Transition, PO Box 10148, Eugene, OR 97440-21485
• Deliver request to the EWEB receptionist at 500 East Fourth Avenue in Eugene

Please note that EWEB will email an electronic copy of the requested report(s) at no charge. Due to copying expenses, hard copies will cost $.25 per page. If the cost exceeds $10, you will be contacted with a final cost estimate.
