Thank you for your interest in joining EWEB's Steam Conversion Professionals Network. We look forward to working with you to help steam customers transition to an alternative heating system before the system shuts down in June 2012.

How to join

We're always looking for qualified businesses to become a part of the network.

Requirements

  • Attend an EWEB "Steam Transition Orientation Session"
  • Obtain and read the assessment reports for the buildings you'd like to help convert
  • Seek opportunities to prepare timely bids for steam building owners, some whom may be hesitant to take the next steps needed (submitting ODOE loan applications and seeking bids)
  • Assist building owners with any inquiries about energy efficiency equipment and renewable energy systems
  • Maintain communications with EWEB throughout the conversion process
  • Work with a building owner's engineering consultant or other professionals, as needed
  • Install appropriate equipment and measures that meet program requirements and technical standards and enable a successful conversion by June 2012
  • Help customers leverage all available local (EWEB and city of Eugene), state (Oregon Department of Energy Small Scale Energy Loan and Business Energy Tax Credit) and federal (Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant) programs
  • Keep current with ongoing steam transition program updates and training to improve understanding of applicable energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies and installation techniques
  • Complete and submit all required applications and addendum forms
  • Hold all required licenses including an Oregon Construction Contractors Board license, if applicable
  • Maintain adequate insurance coverage and certifications and obtain all necessary permits for completing steam conversion and associated projects
