Duct testing and sealing
By participating in EWEB's duct testing and sealing program, we will also install
in your home:
- ENERGY STAR® compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs)
- Energy and water saving showerheads
Installation will be performed by a trained expert. Email us or call (541) 685-7760 to
learn more.
Only valid while supplies last. Limit two showerheads per household. Only homes with
electric water heaters qualify for the showerhead replacement.
The duct testing and sealing program is designed to increase comfort and provide
energy savings by improving the efficiency and performance of ducted heating systems.
Leaks
in ducted forced-air systems can be responsible for poor heating and cooling system performance,
high energy bills and poor indoor air quality. Inadequate and unbalanced air flow and air
distribution can shorten the life of heating and cooling systems.
This program is available for site-built and manufactured homes.
- Must be an EWEB electric customer
- Must have a ducted heat pump or an electric forced-air heating system
- Ductwork must be located outside of the heated space in a crawl space and/or attic
Customers with non-electric heating systems (e.g., gas furnace) are referred to the
Energy Trust of Oregon's website.
- Download the program packet
and complete the program participation form.
- If applying for a zero-interest loan, complete and sign the
loan application.
- Rental property owners requesting a rebate should complete a
W-9 form.
- Return all completed forms to EWEB.
Once your application is approved, EWEB will send you a project approval letter explaining the
next steps in the process. Please note that EWEB must authorize your contractor's project
submittal prior to installation.
