Dec. 17, 2007 Brighten someone’s home this holiday season with a gift certificateThe Eugene Water & Electric Board is offering a unique gift idea this holiday season: Power and water. Gift certificates are available from customer service representatives in the lobby of EWEB’s main headquarters building, 500 E. Fourth Ave. Certificates can be used to pay any portion of a customer’s bill. “The gift certificates are a great way for customers to help a specific individual or family in need, or are just a nice way to ‘share the warmth’ with a neighbor, college student or relative during the winter heating season,” said Charles Dalton, EWEB’s customer relations manager. The gift certificate idea was launched in conjunction with the utility’s annual Customer Care donation campaign, which is running now through the end of December. Donations to Customer Care are combined with revenues from all customers’ bills to help more than 4,000 lower-income households with bill-payment assistance. The gift certificates can be purchased for any customer, regardless of income, and can be redeemed at any time.
