Applicants Sought for Vacant EWEB Board Position
The Eugene Water & Electric Board of Commissioners
is seeking applicants to fill the vacant Ward 6/7 position on the EWEB
board through Dec. 31, 2004.
The position represents the Whiteaker, downtown and Bethel
areas of Eugene, as well as the portions of River Road and Santa Clara
that are inside the city limits. A map of the wards can be found on the
Internet at www.eweb.org, then clicking on "Your Commissioners."
Applications must be submitted by noon on July 14, at
EWEB headquarters, 500 E. Fourth Ave. EWEB's elected commissioners currently
are scheduled to appoint a new commissioner on Aug. 5, following interviews
of finalists.
The new commissioner will serve out the remaining term
in Wards 6 and 7, which were previously represented by Henry Masterson.
