BUSINESS SERVICE AGREEMENTS
- Intergovernmental Agreement with University of Oregon Energy Studies in Buildings Laboratory - Energy Management Services - Corporate Services. This renews a consulting contract with the Energy Studies in Buildings Laboratory (ESBL) to continue providing daylighting analysis and design services for new commercial building projects participating in EWEB's Energy Smart Design program. The total cost is $60,000 over three years (10/1/02 through 9/30/05). Work with ESBL has been very valuable to the new construction energy conservation program in the past and extension of this contract is important to the success of the program. The average amount of the extension is $20,000 for three years. Contact person is Rod Olsen, 484-2411, ext. 3075.
- ABB Energy Interactive, Inc. Strategic Metering Project - Energy Management Services - Corporate Services. Applies to existing contract with ABB Energy Interavtive, Inc. which provides validation software (e.g. :Electric Validation Editing Engine or "EVEE") to produce billing quality 15-minute interval meter data required for complex billing accounts, which total - $25 million in annual revenue along with validating meter data collected for load research, cost of service analyses and internet meter data applications. The amount requested is to expand EWEB's existing license from 250 metering points to 500 metering points. The amount due is to cover the metering points that now exceed our existing license for up to 250 meters (e.g. the software is now validating interval data collected from 390 meters) and is a one time license fee not to exceed $20,000 plus an additional annual maintenance fee of $4,000. The funds are included in the 2002 budget. Contact person is Mike Logan, 484-2411, ext. 3061.
- Henwood Services - ETRM Administration - Financial Services - Finance Division. EWEB's Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system is a software package which was purchased from Henwood services several years ago. Henwood has done an extensive rewrite of the system and is migrating users to the new version and ceasing support for the version which EWEB is using. With the new version, Henwood has modularized the software. Most of the functions used by EWEB are in a module called Trade Manager. In addition, there are some capabilities which EWEB either currently uses or which staff believes would improve the system controls included in a second package called Position Reporter. This contract includes the maintenance fees for both modules through mid-2004 plus the services to assist EWEB in installing the new software, migrating data, and training staff. Cost is $114,000. Of this, $22,500 is for services in the conversion. The remainder is for maintenance fees through June of 2004. Contact is Dick Varner, 484-2411, ext. 3299.
