This
contract is for the yearly maintenance support for our in-house
developed applications. Contract amount is $24,573. Contact person

- Lane Community College -
EMS Office Operations - Customer
Services.
Continuation of Cooperative Education Agreement with Lane
Community College. Stipend paid quarterly to students interning in
the office administration area. Payment is made to the LCC
Foundation who pays the student. The funds requested are for two
students for each of the four quarters-estimated at 860 hours for
the year.
- EMS Office Operations
has been using interns since Winter Term 1999. This partnership
with LCC benefits the student with work experience and assistance
in offsetting their school expenses. EWEB's benefit is increased
productivity in the administrative area for low cost and matching
EWEB's goal of community involvement. Contracted amount is $30,000
for the next five years ($6,000 per year). Contact person is Sandy

- Lane Community College's
Cooperative Education Program - Commercial Energy Smart
Conservation Program - Customer Services.
Applies to
stipends required to support EWEB's continuing intern partnership
with Lane Community College's Cooperative Education Program. EWEB
has been working with LCC"s CEP since 1981 providing Energy
Management Program students with hands on work experience.
Currently, three students are assigned each term to section 243
within the EMS department. The LCC Foundation administers the
stipend portion of the program along with the LCC Work Study
Program. Internships typically involve HVAC field work,
computerized analysis, technology research, library organization
and working with staff in developing energy conservation
recommendations for commercial customers. Contract amount is
$93,100 through 2005 at approximately $16,000-20,000 per year.

- Bayview Technology, Inc.
- Commercial Energy Smart Conservation - Customer Services.
Applies to
Bayview Technology, Inc. which as developed a unique occupancy
sensor for vending machines designed to save energy and
maintenance costs by reducing the operating hours. Bayview is
working directly with beverage manufactures and local vending
machine companies and plans to work toward installing
approximately7 750 devices by May 12 and 250 additional devices by
year-end. Approximately 1,000 vending machines are estimated to be
operating within EWEB's service area. The potential annual savings
is estimated at approximately 1,700 kWh's per year per retrofitted
vending machine. If 1,000 devices are installed, the total annual
energy savings would be approximately 1,700,000 kWh's per year.
