Board Members present: Sandra Bishop, Dorothy Anderson; Peter Bartel, Susie Smith, and Patrick Lanning.

Others present: Randy Berggren and Jean Meyers of the EWEB staff; Frank Nearing, KLCC-Radio, and Lance Robertson, Register-Guard.

President Bishop called the Executive Session of the Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) to order, pursuant to ORS 192.660(1)(i), annual review and performance evaluation of the General Manager.

Jean Meyers, Human Resource Manager, noted that it had been since February 29, 2000 since General Manager Randy Berggren had last been evaluated by the Board. Each Commissioner expressed appreciation for Randy's performance and management of the utility during the last year. Each Commissioner then critiqued Randy's performance, noting areas of excellence and need for improvement.

The Board agreed to discuss the appropriate level of increase at the Regular Board Meeting.

The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
