Vice President Osanka opened the meeting pursuant to ORS 192.660(1)(h) to consult with counsel concerning the legal rights and duties of a public body with regard to current litigation or litigation likely to be filed regarding Environmental Remediation.

Environmental Manager Laurie Power, Environmental Specialist Debbie Unfried, and EWEB Special Counsel Don Haagensen reviewed and discussed with the Board issues related to potential EWEB involvement in the environmental remediation of a manufactured gas plant formerly operated on and affected property currently owned by EWEB, as well as property adjacent to the EWEB property along the Willamette River. Mr. Haagensen presented a brief overview of a participation agreement that will be signed by the involved parties.
