General Manager Roger Gray
Roger Gray joined the Eugene Water & Electric Board as general manager in May 2010.
manager, Roger directs a 500-employee utility that serves approximately 200,000
people with electricity and water in the Eugene metropolitan area and the lower McKenzie River Valley.
EWEB is Oregon's largest customer-owned utility.
Roger has worked in the utility industry for more than 28 years, holding positions ranging from
operations to planning. Before EWEB, Roger worked as an independent consultant and for several utilities or utility-related
organizations including Pacific Gas & Electric, IP Networks, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power,
Southern California Edison, Bechtel, and Duke/Louis Dreyfus Electric Power.
He holds bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from the
University of California, Berkeley.
Roger is an active volunteer in the community and serves on several boards including United Way of Lane
County, Northwest River Partners and the Pacific Northwest Utilities Conference Committee (PNUCC). He and his spouse, Susan, reside in Eugene.
