Know your ‘water budget’ The Eugene Water & Electric Board suggests that customers develop a “water budget” to help monitor usage, identify leaks, determine if you need to take steps to reduce water consumption, and save money as a result. The goal of the water budget is to estimate an average of how much water would be used per-person at your facility and for each 1,000 square feet of your landscape. Then you can compare your water bill to this calculation of the average for both indoor and outdoor needs. Use the “Water Budget” link below to calculate the “average” amount of water usage, based on the number of residents and outdoor square footage at your facility.
