Experts offer energy saving training
EWEB is committed to helping you save energy. We offer onsite trainings and presentations for building staff, facility managers and operators. Learn how energy is used, what building occupants can do to save energy, operational saving measures for facility operators and maintenance staff and more. Energy Management Certificate
The Energy Management Certificate is a yearlong course of study designed to create a basic mastery of energy management. It includes a pre-workshop assignment, a two-week, in-residence block of instruction, and a follow-up implementation project at the student's facility. The in-residence program starts in July at the University of Oregon. A $1,000 tuition discount is available for building operating staff that work for our customers and commit to completion of an energy saving project. Building Operators Certification
The Building Operator Certification is an in-depth class that requires eight one-day trainings over the course of seven months. EWEB will provide a 50 percent tuition reimbursement for building operating staff that work for our customers. Sustainable Building Advisor Certificate Program
The Sustainable Building Advisor (SBA) Certificate Program is a nine-month,
specialized training program, designed to enable graduates to advise employers
or clients on strategies and tools for implementing sustainable building.
Benefits from participating in the SBA program can include:
- Saving long term building operating costs
- Improving the environmental, social and economic viability of the region
- Reducing environmental impacts and owner liability
- Improving skills in a rapidly growing field
This program is recommended for:
- Architects and engineers
- Representatives
- Tenant and developers
- Project managers
- Resource conservation specialists
- Other building industry professionals
Classes meet one weekend (Friday 9-5 and Saturday 9-3) per month beginning Sept.
12 and running a total of nine sessions.
Class size is limited to a maximum of 30 people.
