EWEB increases cash incentives EWEB recently increased cash incentives for business customers by 25 percent. All business customers qualify for a free energy analysis, cash incentives for efficiency projects, and rebates for efficient lighting, HVAC equipment, and motors. Low-interest loans are also available to fund the remainder of the project. Incentives for special technologies have also been increased. These include Super T-8 lighting, premium economizers, premium efficiency industrial processes and other leading edge technologies. These additional funds come from an extension of EWEB’s conservation contract with BPA and are available for a limited time. “Investing in energy efficiency makes good sense,” according to Mike Logan, EWEB’s Business Energy Services Manager. “Between EWEB cash incentives and the Oregon Business Energy Tax Credit, most investments pay back quickly.” To start saving, just call EWEB business energy staff at 484–1125 or check with your participating HVAC or electrical contractor.
