As a citizen-owned utility, the Eugene Water & Electric Board participates in many community activities, events and special programs. Below is a schedule of EWEB-related events that help make Eugene a great place to live.
GOOD EARTH Home Garden & Living Show
Visit EWEB’s “Earth Advantage” display at the "America's first sustainable home and garden show," and learn more about how you can save water and energy.

Earth Day Celebration
Join EWEB in celebrating our planet and making it a better place to live.

Eugene Marathon
Runners will be helped along the way by McKenzie River water handed out by EWEB employees at a water station near EWEB's fountain.

Where: Marathon course starts at Hayward Field and ends at Autzen Stadium

Solar Challenge
Each year, middle school students from across Lane County gather to race solar-powered model vehicles they designed and built with a grant from EWEB.
When: June 7, 2008
Where: Cal Young Middle School, 2555 Gilham Rd.
2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Track and Field
EWEB's Oasis Booth will be featured at the Eugene '08 Festival throughout the event. Stop by and enjoy refreshing McKenzie River water and a cool place to rest your feet.
When: June 26-July 7, 2008

Butte-to-Butte run
Thousands of Eugene residents run this 10-kilometer race each Fourth of July weekend, and are helped along with way by McKenzie River water handed out by EWEB employees.
When: July 4, 2008
Where: Race starts at Spencer Butte Middle School, 500 E. 43rd Ave.

Lane County Fair
Stop by EWEB’s Oasis Booth at the fair and enjoy some cool water and a place to rest your tired feet.

Eugene Celebration
The community’s premier fun event features EWEB’s Oasis Booth, where you can enjoy a cool drink of water. Also check out EWEB’s entry in the Saturday-morning parade.
When: September 8-10, 2008 (dates tentative)

EWEB Run to Stay Warm
Run, walk or stroll down the flat, safe and scenic bike paths along the Willamette River. The event features a half marathon, 10K, 5K and kid’s 400-meter dash. All proceeds will benefit EWEB’s Customer Care Program to help income-eligible customers who are having difficulty paying their utility bills.
When: November 22, 2008 (the Saturday before Thanksgiving)
Where: The event starts and finishes at EWEB’s River Edge Plaza
